To provide Nonhazardous Waste Management Services for the
Department of National Defence (DND), Canadian Forces Base (CFB)
Petawawa located in Petawawa, Ontario in accordance with the
Statement of Work. There is a requirement to operate a Bulk
Waste Disposal (BWD) site however it is under construction and
the Contractor will be advised of the start date. There is also
a need to have work performed by the Contractor on an "as and
when requested" basis to satisfy temporary seasonal or special
waste management requirements due to training or special events
and additional permanent waste collection points at CFB
Petawawa. The area to be serviced includes the main Base, the
Range and Training area of the base, Pembroke Armories, a Bulk
Waste Disposal Site and other leased facilities in the Pembroke
or Petawawa areas.
The term of the Contract will be for five year period commencing
from 1 August 2010 to 31 July 2015, with Canada having an
irrevocable option to extend the term by two one year periods.

Mandatory Site Visit
It is mandatory that the Bidder or a representative of the
Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for
site visit to be held on 22 April 2010 at 09:00 a.m. (local
time) at CFB Petawawa, Ontario, Building S-111 Conference Room
#A-130. The duration of the site visit will be a minimum of
three hours and maximum of seven hours (5:00 pm). Bidders or
their representatives must attend the entire mandatory site
visit to comply with the Canada's Mandatory Requirement for
attendance.

Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later
than three day(s) before the scheduled visit to confirm
attendance and provide the names of the person(s) who will
attend. Bidders will be required to sign an attendance form.

Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting
from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid
solicitation.

It is Canada's intention to issue one Contract for this
requirement.
The Crown reserves the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
Debriefing: After contract award, bidders may request a
debriefing on the results of the bid solicitation. Bidders
should make the request to the Contracting Authority within 15
working days of receipt of notification that their bid was
unsuccessful. The debriefing may be provided in writing, by
telephone or in person.
