The Federal Correctional Institution, Marianna, Florida, is soliciting a contractor to provide services as an Allied Health Technician. The Allied Health Technician must possess at least six months medical records experience to include maintenance, distribution, coding and updating, verifying completeness and accuracy. The resulting contract will be a base period, not to exceed twelve months, with two (2) twelve (12) month option periods to be exercised at the sole discretion of the government. The number of one hour sessions is estimated at 768 for the base period, depending on the actual date of award and the availability of funds. The solicitation will be available on or around March 5, 2010, and will be distributed through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www:fbo.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be distributed unless determined by the contracting officer to be in the best interest of the government. Future information concerning this acquisition, including any amendments, will be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up to date information concerning this solicitation. The NAICS code for this requirement is 561499. Qualified responsible sources are encouraged to submit a quote that will be considered for award. The anticipated date of receipt of quotes is on or about March 25, 2010. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The government may make award without discussions, therefore, quoters are instructed to submit their best offer initially. This requirement is 100% set aside for small business concerns.
