II.1.4) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): St George's
University of London (SGUL) wishes to engage with a suitably qualified
Contractor to provide routine preventative maintenance and repairs of all
items of its mechanical and electrical services and equipment.
The scope of this requirement comprises the planned preventative
maintenance, servicing and repair of the installation. The Contractor will
be responsible to meet the obligation of the contact by providing
sufficient labour and materials.
SGUL is located within the St George's NHS Hospital site and comprises the
following buildings:
— Block C Hunter Building,
— Block D Jenner Building,
— Block F Accessed from Jenner Building,
— Block G1 Jenner Building Level 1,
— Block G2 Jenner Building,
— Block J special stores,
— Gymnasium.
The aim of this contract is to keep all mechanical and electrical services
operational in a safe and energy efficient manner. The Contractor will be
responsible for the planned preventative, and reactive maintenance of all
items of mechanical services plant as detailed in the ITT and the Asset
Register which will be issued to short listed suppliers.
The successful supplier will be required to provide routine preventative
maintenance, servicing and repair of all mechanical and electrical plant
installations within the demise of the University. In order to meet this
requirement it is expected that the Contractor will provide an on site
presence during the hours 7:00 until 19:00 each week day and an emergency
call out facility 24 hours, 365 days a year to attend to emergency
breakdowns, system failures or leaks, etc.
Services to be provided by the successful supplier must be fully
operational from 2.1.2010.

duration of the contract and management of these resources. Weighting: 15

4. Supplier's commitment to respond to emergency call outs. Weighting: 10
