PROJECT NAME: Remove Excess Soil - Mound Road Area

THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE SPECIFIC CONTRACTOR IDENTIFIED BELOW PERSUANT TO THE DEFENSE ACQUISITION REGULATIONS (DFARS) 252.219-7009 SECTION 8(a) DIRECT AWARD (SEP 2007).

This project is an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funded project.

The TACOM Contracting Center, Warren, MI intends to issue a solicitation to Chrisitian Concept Construction, Inc.; 2110 S Westnedge Ave #3C, Kalamazoo, MI 49008-1937 pursuant to the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) 252.219-7009 - SECTION 8(a) DIRECT AWARD (SEP 2007) for a firm fixed price contract for installing and maintaining soil erosion control measures, traffic control, installing and removing temporary gravel access, removing and replacing concrete sidewalks, abandoning and decommissioning existing monitoring wells, removing stockpiled soil at interim times, testing the soil for contaminations, hauling the soil to a Class II landfill and restoration to the work area. All work peformed for this project will be located on the U.S. Army Garrison-Detroit Arsenal (USAG-DTA) Warren, MI49397-5000. The Government anticipates a performance period of 600 days after date of award for completion fo the project.

In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 36.204, the magnitude of this project is expected to between $250,000 and $500,000. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) is 238910 site Preperation Contractors with a size standard of $14 Million.

The solicitation will be issued directly to the contractor identified above. The solicitation and any amendments will not be issued through, or posted on, the Federal Business Opportunities web page as this is not a competitive procurement.

The purpose of this special notice is only to inform industry of the intent of TACOM Contracting Center, Warren, MI as required for all American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funded projects. This is in accordance with the guidance provided by the President of the United States and the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board.
