On or about 24 February 2010, this office will issue a Request For Quote (RFQ) for the purchase and delivery of a 50-Ton Rough Terrain Mobile Hydraulic Crane. The new or as new with less than 500 operating hours mobile crane shall meet or exceed the capabilities held by the Grove RT650E or equal.

This solicitation will be for small businesses participation only under the NAICS Code 423810 with a limited size standard of 100 employees.

The government intends to trade in a 1978 Drott 30-Ton Hydraulic Crane, MC2500 and a 1976 Link Belt-Crane, Crawler Mounted 40-Ton, LS98A.

The Drott Crane can be viewed at Fort Randall Project outside Maintenance Facility east of Pickstown, SD. Prospective bidders can view the Drott crane Monday Friday from 8:00am until 3:00pm, with a one day advance notice. Contact Tyrone Peters @ 605-487-7845 x3230 to make an appointment.

The Link Belt Crane at the Oahe Project near Pierre, SD is located at the East Shore Boat Ramp. Prospective bidders can view the Link Belt crane Monday Friday from 8:00am until 4:00pm, with a one day advance notice. Contact James Oehlerking @ 605-224-5862 x3237 to make an appointment.

Please be advised of on-line registration requirement in the central Contractor Registration (CCR) database http://www.ccr.gov/ and directed solicitation provisions concerning electronic annual On-line Representations and Certification (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov. Representations and Certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete. The electronic annual representations and certifications are effective until one year from date of submission or update to ORCA.
