Hospital NHS Trust is looking to seek a first class service provider to
undertake the Medical Equipment Servicing of the medical equipment within
the organisation. The service will be based at Bedford Hospital South Wing
Campus. The South Wing Campus is located in the centre of the Bedford Town
centre and comprises approximately 94 buildings with a total site cross
area of approximately 55 000 m².
The Trust provides general acute services (including A&E) to a population
catchment of 360 000 people and currently has 420 beds. The contract will
be primarily for the EBME services at Bedford Hospital NHS Trust with the
option of providing services to the wider Bedfordshire Health Community at
some point in the future is required. The contract period will be for a 5
year period with 2 separate options to extend by 2 x 2 year periods.
