of Scotland Transport Partnership (SWestrans) invite tenders, from
suitably qualified consultants for the supply of the following
requirements:
As part of the Scottish Government's Smarter Choices, Smarter Places
initiative for Sustainable Travel Demonstration Towns, the GoSMART
Dumfries programme includes an element for a Personalised Travel Planning
project. GoSMART is a partnership project between SWestrans and Dumfries
and Galloway Council. With the aid of additional funding from the Lowland
and Uplands of Scotland (LUPS) European Structural Funds (ESF) Programmes
it is intended that this project will operate for three years from 2009 to
2011. The aim of the project is to target innovative PTP at residential
households and other trip generators in the following areas of Dumfries:
Caledonian Cycleway corridor (Heathhall and Locharbriggs),
North West Dumfries (Lochside, Lincluden, Summerville, Nithside, and
Sandside),
Georgetown (including Lochvale),
Troqueer,
Maxwelltown, and
Cargenbridge.
