II.1.4) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): This contract
is for the installation, maintenance and monitoring of telecare services
in west Sussex. West Sussex county council and west Sussex primary care
trust are pooling resources to provide packages of telecare to help
prevent admissions into acute hospitals and discharges from hospitals.
This service will cover the whole county of west Sussex and link into the
current community alarms services. The contract will set up arrangements
to buy packages of telecare for 13 week periods so the service user can
experience the benefits of telecare and arrangements can be made for
longer term funding if the service is required. This contract is to
support independent living. Provision of services to the community. Other
community, social and personal services. Installation of
telecommunications equipment. Installation services of communications
equipment.
