INVITATION TO BID


The Bacolod City Government through its Bids and Awards Committee invites all interested bidders and legitimate contractors to submit bid proposals for the project DEVELOPMENT OF GRANADA-VISTA ALEGRE RELOCATION SITE I & II, Bacolod City.

The Source of Fund is a loan from Philippine Veterans Bank.

The Approved Budget for the Contract (ABC) is NINETY NINE MILLION NINE HUNDRED SEVENTY NINE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED THIRTY FOUR PESOS & 87/100 (P99,979,334.87)

Bidding will be conducted through open competitive bidding procedures as specified in the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of R.A. 9184.

Complete schedule of Activities:

1. Submission of Letter of Intent & availability of eligibility requirements and Bid documents February 10 - March 1, 2010 at the BAC Secretariat Office upon payment of Twenty Thousand Pesos (P20,000.00)
2. Pre-bid conference February 17, 2010, 10:00 a.m.
at the BAC Secretariat Office, New Government Center
3. Deadline of submission of bids and eligibility requirements March 1, 2010 - 10:00 A.M.

BAC shall use the "pass/fail" criteria to determine the eligibility of prospective bidders. The Bacolod City Government reserves the right to reject any application for eligibility or all bids, waive any required formality therein, and to make an award to the bidder whose proposal is most advantageous to the city government and will not assume any obligation to compensate bidder/s for any expenses that they may incur in the preparation of bids. A non-refundable protest fee of PhP999,793.34 ( 1% of ABC) and protest bond equivalent to 10% of the ABC (non-interest bearing) are required in case protest or disagreement with the action of the BAC, to protect the city from unnecessary delay and nuisance bidders. All particulars relative to the eligibility, submission and opening of bids and award of contract shall be governed by the applicable provisions and Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of RA 9184. Additional information shall be furnished upon request. All communications should be addressed to the Chairman, Bids and Awards Committee, c/o Secretariat, Bids and Awards Committee, NGC. The committee reserves the right to cancel or postpone the date of bidding upon prior notice to prospective bidders.
