Borough Council is seeking expressions of interest from suppliers of
Roadstone, Sand and Aggregates to sites in the Rotherham area in bulk
deliveries. Delivery will be required by at least the next day to site on
a timed delivery.
The anticipated spend is in the region of 70 000 GBP.
The framework will be awarded initially for a period of one year with the
option to extend at the sole discretion of RMBC for a further two 12 month
periods, each on a year by year basis.
It is intended for the tender to be awarded to a sole supplier, however if
one supplier cannot meet the council's requirements then the tender will
be awarded to additional participant(s).
All suppliers who wish to be considered for this tender must register on
the SCMS system and electronically complete and upload the Pre-Tender
Questionnaire document onto the SCMS system no later than 17:00 hrs on
Thursday 23.7.2009. All Pre-Tender Questionnaires must be returned through
the system and will not be accepted by any other means.

Council, it is intended that other contracting autorities will be able to
avail themselves for the goods and services under the framework agreement,
the council will act as the contracting authorities agent and the
contracting authority will have a contracting relationship with the
appointed contractor.
