This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. This is a firm-fixed price contract. The contract performance period is currently estimated to be approximately 248 continuous calendar days. The magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237120. Size Standard is $33.5M. Solicitation for this requirement will be accomplished via Request for Proposal. The proposed action is being considered a small business set-aside. Interested Small Businesses must be capable of providing labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision required to Replace Existing Fuel Tanks. Following is a brief summary of the project and is provided solely for the purpose of revealing the general nature of the work involved. The work includes but is not limited to: replacing two 39,000 gallon underground fuel tanks with three 25,000 gallon aboveground tanks at Schriever AFB CO. The new tanks will be connected to the existing fuel piping system and a new control system will be integrated with the existing system for monitoring and filling the existing boiler and generator day tanks. The installation of the new above ground tanks and the new connections into the existing fuel piping system will be completed before the removal of the underground fuel tanks. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract for a period of performance of 248 days.
