National Grid Gas plc.
National Grid Gas plc is part of National Grid plc; its principal
operations are in regulated gas networks and comprise the transmission and
distribution of gas and the provision of gas metering services within
Great Britain.
National Grid Metering.
National Grid Metering is a wholly owned subsidiary of National Grid Gas
plc and provides gas metering services and meter related services on
behalf of National Grid Gas plc including managing the relationship with
its customers, the gas suppliers.
Request for information.
National Grid Metering requires information as part of market research
process, from companies who currently provide gas metering services within
Great Britain in the domestic and industrial and commercial markets.
Also companies invited to complete this questionnaire those registered
with Achilles Utilities Vendor DataBase (UVDB) to provide Domestic and
Industrial & Commercial (I&C) Gas Meter Installation and Removal Services,
Meter Operator Services and Meter Maintenance and Repair Services and
other Meter & Associated services.
Instructions for response.
1. If you are interested in this intended service categories, please
contact by e-mail the above mentioned contact point to obtain the Request
for Information (RFI) Pack by not later than Monday, 15.2.2010, 12:00 hrs.
2. Please complete the questionnaire within the RFI and return via e-mail
the above mentioned contact point, by not later than Monday, 8.3.2010,
12.00 hrs.
For the avoidance of doubt, please only respond via the route of either
Achilles or OJEU.
The responses to the Request for Information may be used to develop a
shortlist of suitable companies to whom National Grid Metering will issue
Tender documents. However, please note that this is a preliminary stage
that may or may not result in an Invitation to Tender being issued and is
dependant on the results from this Request for Information and other
internal organisational factors.
