Sources Sought Synopsis for substation maintenance at Vandenberg AFB, CA. Objective is to provide scheduled, preventive and predictive-diagnostic maintenance services for nine high voltage substations located at Vandenberg Air Force Base. THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool being used to determine potential sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Proposal. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. The contractor shall furnish all equipment, labor, materials, labels, containers, tools, transportation and supervision necessary for performing all operations and, transportation, from and back to Vandenberg AFB, CA. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award, or be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties in support of the effort mentioned above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website, located at www.FedBizOpps.gov. It is the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of any follow-on information. Sources Sought Synopsis for substation maintenance at Vandenberg AFB, CA. This proposed contract is being considered as a set-aside under a small business set-aside program.  The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code proposed for the requirement is 811310.  The size standard for NAICS 811310 is $7.0M.  The government is interested in all small businesses including 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses that are interested in performing this requirement.  The government requests interested parties submit a brief description of their company's business size (i.e. annual revenues and employee size), business status (i.e., 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Busineses, small business) anticipated teaming arrangements, and a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers.  Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners.  The Government will use this information in determining its small business set-aside decision.  Objective is to provide scheduled, preventive and predictive-diagnostic maintenance services for nine high voltage substations located at Vandenberg Air Force Base.
