Individual service contract forecast
1. Publication reference: EuropeAid/129543/C/SER/JO.
2. Procedure: International restricted.
3. Programme: ENPI.
4. Financing: Financing agreement: to be signed in January 2010.
5. Contracting authority: European Union, represented by the European
Commission, on behalf of and for the account of the beneficiary country,
Amman, JORDAN.
6. Nature of contract: Fee-based.
7. Contract description: This is a technical assistance contract, aimed
to develop the key actions which can bring higher results for the capacity
building in wind energy and concentrated solar power for Jordan. It is the
TA part of the wind energy and concentrated solar power (WECSP) project;
designed to support the rational and sustainable use of alternative energy
resources in Jordan, by setting up pilot and testing facilities; building
awareness on these themes; and more specifically to support the National
Energy Research Centre (NERC) to steer and facilitate the implementation
of the Jordanian Government Renewable Energy Strategy 2007–2020, making
sure to involve all stakeholders.
8. Indicative budget: 1 600 000 EUR.
9. Intended timing of publication of the procurement notice: January
2010.
10. Additional information: This forecast notice is published under
suspension clause pending the adoption by the Commission of the related
financing decision.
11. Legal basis: Budget: financial allocation under Jordan's national
indicative programme 2007–2010.
