Individual service contract forecast
1. Publication reference: EuropeAid/129539/D/SER/BZ.
2. Procedure: International restricted tender.
3. Programme: 10th EDF.
4. Financing: Financing Agreement BZ/FED/2009/021189.
5. Contracting authority: The Ministry of Economic Development of Belize,
Belmopan, BELIZE.
6. Nature of contract: Fee-based.
7. Contract description: The technical assistance team will assist the
beneficiary in the implementation of Belize rural development project II,
including the provision of technical expertise tasks and administrative,
preparatory and ancillary tasks relating to planning, monitoring,
reporting on project components, procurement, and financial management.
8. Indicative budget: 1 600 000 EUR.
9. Intended timing of publication of the procurement notice: 25.2.2010.
10. Additional information: Please note that the awarding of the contract
is subject to the condition of the prior conclusion of a financing
agreement, which does not modify the elements of the procurement procedure
(this will be the case, for instance, if the budgetary envelope initially
foreseen is different or if the time frame, the nature or the conditions
of the implementation are altered). If the precedent condition is not met,
the contracting authority will either abandon the procurement or cancel
the award procedure without the candidates or tenderers being entitled to
claim any compensation.
11. Legal basis: ACP–EC Partnership Agreement signed at Cotonou on
23.6.2000 as amended on 25.6.2005 and in 2008 (Annex IV).
Remarks:
There must be a minimum period of 30 calendar days between the publication
of this contract forecast and the publication of the corresponding
procurement notice.
