The 30th Contracting Squadron, Vandenberg AFB, CA intends to award a sole-source procurement to Cummins West to perform the following: installation of diesel particulate filters and creation of operational training material for Cummins generators at Pillar Point Air Force Station. The applicable NAICS for this acquisition is 811310 with a business size standard of $7.0 Million. The proposed contract is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the Authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 5 days (NLT 8 February 2009 12:00PM PST) after date of publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (CCR): Rule requires a firm to be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration Database (CCR) and ORCA (www.bpn.gov) prior to award of any contract and agreements.
