Tender Purchasing Date On or Before : 08-02-2010.
Pre-bid Meeting Date : 09-02-2010.
Time of Completion of Works : Nine (09) months.

State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan desires to renovate its buildings. This package consists of supply and installation of brand new lifts of Schindler (China), Otis (China), Kone (China), Thyseen (Korea), Hyundai (Korea), Sigma (Korea) and Mitsubishi (Thailand) makes after removing of existing lifts at State Life Building No. 3 and 4, Karachi.
Real Estate Division, State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan invites sealed Tenders from firms who are eligible to handle the work mentioned below and are registered with reputed organizations in Pakistan and PEC in Category C-5 with specialization code ME03.
Tender will be "Post Qualified" on the basis of information provided with the Tender. Tenderer(s) who fail to qualify in this respect shall not be considered.
Tenderer may obtain the Tender and Post Qualification Documents from the office of the Project Manager, (Mr. Aftab Siddiqi Ph: 0333-3762512) National Engineering Services Pakistan (Pvt.) Limited, 4th Floor, N.I.C. Building, Abbasi Shaheed Road, Off. Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi upon payment of a non-refundable Tender Cost in the shape of a pay order / bank draft in favour of National Engineering Services Pakistan (Pvt.) Limited.
Pre-bid meeting will be held on 09-02-2010 in the Auditorium, on the 8th Floor, of State Life Building No. 9, Dr. Ziauddin Ahmed Road, Karachi, at 1130 hours.
Two-Envelope Tender Return System will be adopted. One envelope containing information regarding Post Qualification of the Tender shall be clearly marked "Technical Qualification Information". The second envelope containing the Priced Tender Documents shall be clearly marked "Financial Bid Documents".
"Financial Bid Documents" shall be accompanied by Earnest Money/Tender Security in the form of a bank guarantee, bank draft / pay order drawn in favour of "State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan". Technical Qualification Information Document shall be accompanied by the proof (copy) of Earnest Money / Tender Security.
Partial and incomplete Tenders will not be considered. Technical Qualification Information and Financial Bid Documents (both envelopes) are to be submitted at the under mentioned address by 16-02-2010 at 1500 hrs. The envelope containing Technical Qualification Information shall be opened on the same date at 1530 hours in the presence of those Tenderers who wish to be present. Tenders received after the prescribed time and date shall be rejected.
The Financial Bid Documents of the Tenderers who fail to Post Qualify shall be returned to them unopened. The decision of State Life Insurance Corporation in this connection shall be final and binding on the Tenderers. State Life Insurance Corporation shall not entertain any claim on the basis of cost incurred by the Tenderers for preparation of the Tender.
The envelope of the "Financial Bid Documents" of Post Qualified Tenders will be opened in the presence of their representative at a time to be determined.

State Life reserves the right to accept or reject any or all of the Tenders.
