II.1.4) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): ECDC wishes to
conclude 1 contract with a tenderer for assessing the training needs of
the Member States in the area of infection control.
The goal is to have a final report that considers the previous experience
from IPSE and the input from a meeting of nominated contact points for
infection control training, and that can be used by ECDC for producing an
EU guidance on training activities to be conducted by the MS in the area
of infection control, and to orient the training strategy at the EU level
in this area. An important objective is to discuss the document on the
IPSE European core curriculum for training for infection control
practitioners and prepare it for endorsement by the MS.
Tenderers shall submit an offer for the 3 following working packages (WP):
WP 1: review of background documents produced by IPSE in the area of
infection control training and collection of complementary information;
WP 2: logistical and technical organisation of a meeting for consultation
with nominated representatives from MS in the area of infection control;
WP 3: provide a report on the assessment of training needs and proposal
for future ECDC strategy in infection control training.
