II.1.4) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The Welsh
Assembly Government on behalf of Welsh Ministers is looking for
organisations to collect infomation for the Farm Business Survey. It is an
annual survey of between 400 and 550 farms in Wales which gathers
financial and physical characteristic data from each farm and creates a
comprehensive farm account. It is intended that the contract will be
awarded December 2009 to allow the successfull contractor time to set up.
The first payment year will begin when the succsessfull contractor starts
work on the contract in October 2010.
The contract will be for 3 years with the option of extending up to a
maximum of an additional 24 months.
The Welsh Assembly Government, on behalf of the Welsh Ministers, will be
conducting this procurement exercise through the etenderwales portal

3. Safeguards to ensure that the survey is delivered on time and to the
required level of accuracy. Weighting: 40.
4. Measures to preserve data security. Weighting: 15.
5. Commercial Assessment (price). Weighting: 35.
