The Department of Veterans Affairs, Illiana Health Care System, VA medical Center, 1900 East Main Street, Danville, Il. Intent to Sole Source procurement under authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source, with Midwest Transit,146 West Issert Drive, Kankakee, IL to provide five (5) 2009 Elkhard Coach, 12 passenger plus two (2) wheelchair group vans for transporation of veterans and beneficiaries. The proposed action is for the supplies/services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide the supplies/servise that will satisfy the agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone request will not be accepted. However, any qualified vendor that determines it can meet the Governments requirements may give written notification through email to Contract Specialist, hope.cassady@va.gov, by January 26, 2010, 3:00PM CST. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with teh requirements at no cost or obligation to the government, however the information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no repsonses are received, the VAMC, Danville Illinois will proceed to sole source this requirement to Midwest Transit.
