Project award was made on the main bid item as described below: Provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary to complete Recovery Act Project 521-09-124, "Renovate Surgical Intensive Care Unit" at VA Medical Center, 700 South 19th Street, Birmingham, Alabama, 35233, in accordance with plans and specifications. Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing finishes. Work includes but is not limited to general construction, alterationis, architectural finishes, plumbing work, mechanical work, electrical work, utility systems, removal of existing structures and construction as necessary, and certain other items identified within the contract documents and as indicated on the construction drawings. This project includes five phasesand completion time for all five phases is 360 calendar days. Some phases will be constructed concurrently. Phasing schdule for project will be determined upon award of project and coordination in the time designated as indicated in each phase description.
