The goal of the resultant contract is to have an enhanced logistics and maintenance program that ensures timely and effective vessel maintenance and logistics support to so that operational and training requirements are met with mission-capable vessels. The contract will encompass the maintenance and logistics support necessary to ensure that the Government has the numbers, types, and properly configured vessels available where and when required to meet the Government�s operational commitments. The nature of the work ranges from complete vessel overhaul (�depot level maintenance�) to scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. The National Marine Center (NMC) St. Augustine, FL is the center of maintenance operations for CBP. The NMC also has vessels deployed to locations throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. To support these vessels, the contractor shall staff, maintain, and operate a number of locations outside St. Augustine, FL. The number of supported locations and staffing may increase or decrease significantly during the period of performance. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be cost plus award fee / award term. It will consists of a base year and four one-year options.

All questions shall be submitted to Joquita Pitt Not Later Than 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on March 3, 2010.

The purpose of this amendment is to extend the closing date of Solicitation HSBP1010R0023. The closing date is revised from March 16, 2010 to 12PM Eastern Standard Time on March 24, 2010. This extension is the result of changes that will be made to the Performance Work Statement, Award Fee Plan and the Solicitation. All changes will be provided via a separate amendment to this notice by Close of Business on March 12, 2010.

Due to system errors the formal solicitation amendment will have to be provided at a later date. However, the attachment title Changes to Solicitation outlines all the changes to the solicitation. The closing date remains March 24, 2010. However, the closing time has been revised to 3PM Eastern Standard Time.
