6. Description of the contract: This project focuses on irrigation
infrastructure rehabilitation and improvement works in 5 mainly
traditional earthen canals in the lower Panj sub-basin of the Panj-Amu
basin in Afghanistan. The project aims to construct intakes, offtakes,
divider, protection walls and wash crossings. The 5 canals are located
relatively closely together in the northern part of Takhar Province.
