The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) intends to modify an existing Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with Raytheon Network Centric Systems, 1010 Production Road, Fort Wayne, IN for the procurement and sustainment of AN/PSC-5D Multi-Band, Multi-Mission Radio (MBMMR) systems under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A). Due to the current operations tempo, this action is necessary to allow the program to continue on-going operations while USSOCOM assesses life cycle replacement alternatives. The ceiling shall be increased by $24.1M. The contract will provide logistical support for fielded MBMMRs to include engineering and technical service support, spare/repair parts (provisioning), extended warranties, ancillary items, and non-warranty repairs. Raytheon Network Centric Systems is the original manufacturer and the only source with the technical ability to produce and maintain (provide spares and logistics support, etc.) the MBMMR. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however interested parties may identify their interests and capability by responding to this requirement by 4:00 PM, EST, February 12, 2010. A determination by the Government not to compete the additional requirements based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
