Individual supply contract forecast
1. Publication reference: EuropeAid/129412/D/SUP/SY.
2. Procedure: Open.
3. Programme: MEDA (TA to the standards and quality-management programme
in Syria).
4. Financing: BGUE-B2009-C8-19080101.
5. Contracting authority: Ministry of Industry of the Syrian Arab
Republic, Damascus, SYRIAN ARAB REPUBLIC.
6. Contract description: Delivery of laboratory equipment to various
government-owned testing and/or calibration laboratories in Syria. These
laboratories test products such as food, textiles, machinery, electrical
appliances, construction products, and detergents. In addition to the
equipment itself, the supplier will be asked to provide calibration
certificates for all items that require them, plus the warranty,
installation and maintenance services in Syria.
7. Indicative number and titles of lots: The 9 lots are as follows:
— lot 1: aggregate testing equipment; calibration weights sets; cement
testing equipment and climatic chambers, ready mixed concrete testing
equipment,
— lot 2: equipment for safety tests of electrical appliances,
— lot 3: gas and liquid tightness testing equipment,
— lot 4: hardness testing reference blocks,
— lot 5: high accuracy AC power supplies,
— lot 6: humidity generator system, installation and equipment for the
control of environmental conditions of testing laboratories,
— lot 7: thermometric measurements resistance bridge,
— lot 8: primary standards for temperature calibration – fixed point cells
and accessories,
— lot 9: medium capacity test rig for water flow meters.

10. Legal basis: EC General Budget — Council Regulation No 1488/96 of
23.7.1996 (MEDA) amended by the EC Council Regulation No 2698/2000 of
27.11.2000 and EC Council Regulation No 2112/2005 of 21.11.2005 amended by
EC Regulation No 1638/2006 of European Parliament and Council of
24.10.2006.
