RECOVERY -- This procurement is being funded via the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). The Bureau of Reclamation, Pacific Northwest Region, has a requirement for a High-Pressure Gate Modification at Pinto Dam, Columbia Basin Project, Washington. Pinto Dam is located approximately 2.5 miles northeast of Stratford, Washington, in Grant County. Principal components of the work include: Furnish and install new bulkhead gate and guides (installed underwater). Installation of guides will require underwater drilling, setting, and grouting of concrete anchor bolts. Fabricate new steel and stainless steel high-pressure gate leaf. Remove existing high-pressure gate leaf and install and test new leaf. Furnish and install a hydraulic control system, including a new hydraulic power unit and tubing, for the 4-foot by 4-foot high pressure slide gate. Includes removal of the existing hydraulic control system. Furnish and install electrical service, high pressure slide gate control boards, conduits, lighting, and associated electrical equipment. This requirement will be issued as a total HUBZone set aside and will be a sealed bid procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 and the size standard is $33.5 million in gross annual receipts averaged over the previous three 1-year accounting periods. The estimated price range of the work is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. An electronic copy of the solicitation will be available APPROXIMATELY January 29, 2010, at www.fedbizopps.gov. Prospective bidders must be registered in CCR prior to receiving award of any contract - see www.ccr.gov. The Awardee will be subject to Section 1512(c) of the Recovery Act which requires each contractor to report on its use of Recovery Act funds under the awarded contract.
