RECOVERY: PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR THE BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT, NATIONAL INTERAGENCY FIRE CENTER BUILDING DEMOLITION. This procurement is being funded via the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to award a single, firm fixed-priced contract for complete abatement, demolition, and removal of buildings 105A, 105B, 105C and their associated foundations as well as their accompanying hardscape and immediate landscape. Building 105C is a single story low rise concrete panel structure of approximately 4800 gsf that originally housed a kitchen and has been renovated to office occupancy. Building 105C connects to both buildings 105A and building 105B via entrance vestibules. Buildings 105A and 105B are two-story structures that were originally designed as barracks with multiple individual sleeping quarters. Both buildings 105A and 105B contain approximately 11,800 gsf for a total building area of approximately 28,900 gsf. The project site is located in Boise, Idaho. Project price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. This acquisition will be advertised as Full and Open Competition. North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code is 238910, the Size Standard is $14 million. The anticipated period of performance is 75 calendar days from Notice to Proceed, estimated to begin approximately March 15, 2010. This announcement serves as the advanced notice for the project. It is anticipated the solicitation package will be available for download approximately January 8, 2010. To obtain the solicitation and/or amendments/updates for this project, contractors shall register and download from FedConnect (https://www.fedconnect.net). Full funding for requirements to be completed by resultant contract award will utilize funds provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Inclusion of unique provisions required to implement the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency requirements by the successful offeror(s), will be required in any resultant contract. The Awardee will be subject to Section 1512(c) of the Recovery Act which requires each contractor to report on its use of Recovery Act funds under the awarded contract. These reports will be made available to the public.
