Provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment supervision necessary to complete Project R521-09-113, Clean HVAC Ducts at VA Medical Center, 700 South 19th Street, Birmingham, Alabama 35233, in accordance with plans and specifications. Work includes items shown in the contract documents which can be described to, but not limited to; Cleaning of high pressure and medium pressure supply ductwork, outside air duct work, return air duct work, VAV boxes, fan coil units, supply and return grilles. Work limited to areas throughout the second thru ninth floors, and second, and fifth floor mechanical room.The estimated dollar value of construction is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Estimated solicitation issue date is on or December 28, 2009, with an estimated bid opening date of February 1, 2010. Note these dates are estimates and could be sooner or later. The National American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220 for this procurement with a size standard of $33.5 million. This solicitation is total set aside for service disabled veteran-owned small businesses. There will be a pre-bid walk through of the project and it is highly recommended that any contractor wishing to bid on this project attend the walk through. The pre-bid walk through time and location will be addressed in the solicitation. All solicitation packages, including drawings will be available to download from the website: www.fedbizopps.gov. No hard copies of the solicitation will be provided.
