IFB N40085-10-B-7007 Point of Contact: Nancy Van Gelder, Contract Specialist(401) 841-3407; email: nancy.vangelder@navy.mil Title: Roof Removal, Repair, Replacement, Bldg 27, McCarty Little Hall, Naval Station Newport, Newport, RI 02841 This contract action is for the following: remove and replace the existing roof system and associated components at Bldg 27, McCarty Little Hall, Naval Station Newport, Newport, RI, as indicated in the solicitation package and solicitation drawings. Remove and replace the existing sheet metal roofing, underlayment, plywood sheathing, isocyanurate insulation, baseboard and associated components down to the metal roof deck of the steep slop roof areas; remove and replace the existing EPDM membrane, coverboard, isocyanurate insulation and associated components down to the metal roof deck of the low slope roof areas and perimeter built in gutters; remove existing roof drain bowl inserts, strainers and clamping rings from the main roof area in preparation for installing new roof drain components; clean roof drains to achieve a free flowing system both before and after construction; clad the existing precast concrete panels in areas designated on drawings; remove existing concret! e pavers at the Terrace locations; install waterproofing coating at the Terrace locations; remove and replace precast concrete panel perimeter sealants and backing materials as indicated on drawings; remove, store and reinstall existing lightning protection system; clean and restore all areas affected by the work. This is a new procurement. It does not replace an existing contract. No information exists on prior contracts. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 238160 with Small Business size standard of $14.0 Million in annual receipts. Estimated cost is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. This requirement shall be Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The method of procurement shall be Sealed Bidding. The Government will only accept offers from SDVOSB concerns. Clause 52.225-9, Buy American Act - Construction Materials (FEB 2009) shall apply. Offerors can view and/or download the solicitation at https://www.neco.navy.mil/ when it becomes available. The Solicitation shall be available on or about 21 December 2009. Bids will be due on or about 29 January 2010. There is no Pre-Proposal Conference/Site Visit scheduled for this solicitation at this time. Offerors shall submit with their offer a bid bond of 20% of the amount for DBA work.
