PROPOSED BAKU URBAN TRANSPORT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

The Republic of Azerbaijan, represented by the Ministry of Transport (the Client), with support from the World Bank, has received a grant from Japan to prepare the proposed Baku Urban Transport Improvement Project planned to be financed by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The activities under the PHRD Grant include:

- Consulting Services for Urban Passenger Transport Reform in Baku (now completed); and
- Consulting Services for the Preparation of a Strategic Transport Plan for the Baku metropolitan Region (Request for EOI released immediately).

Procurement of the consulting contract financed by the PHRD Grant will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines on Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (May 2004, revised October 2006), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines.
