This Pre-Solicitation Notice is to seek the availability of labor, transportation, supervision, material and equipment to perform all operations in connection with providing preventative and corrective maintenance services along with 24/7 monitoring of critical HVAC and refrigeration alarms in buildings 1H, 38H, 43H, 200H, 219H, 81H, 111H, 130H, 237, 1007, and 1017 via Landis and Staefa (Siemens) System 600 Building Control and Monitoring systems onboard Naval Station, Great Lakes, Illinois. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION BUT A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTIFICATION. NAICS Code is 334512. Work involves providing monthly visits to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on the building automation system. During each visit, the Specialist will fix current problems in the jobsite log, perform critical loop tuning, and annually certify fume hoods using SEFA-l and ASHRAE 110 procedures. This requirement includes software updates, which will automatically upgrade the Apogee Workstation (c) software as new revisions are released, provide emergency service with response time within next business day, between the hours of 7am - 5pm, and include 24 hour, remote facility monitoring of critical alarms. The remote service center is required to verify, troubleshoot and report issues back to the naval maintenance staff. Building automation systems will receive alarms based on preprogrammed parameters. To be considered, documentation of Landis and Staefa (Siemens) System 600 Building Control and Monitoring systems certification and authorization by Siemens to work on these systems must be submitted to the satisfaction of the Navy. If interested, please submit the required supporting documentation to robert.kellner@navy.mil before December 11, 2009, 2:00pm (Central Time). It is the intent of the Government to determine the availability of businesses that are capable of meeting the requirements of the Landis and Staefa (Siemens) System 600 Building Control and Monitoring systems repair, maintenance, and monitoring. Therefore, this notice is open to responses from any size business. The intent of the sources sought is to determine the availability of companies that have specialized training on Landis and Staefa (Siemens) systems and are authorized to maintain and repair Landis and Staefa (Siemens) systems currently installed. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR THE INSTALLATION OF NEW SYSTEMS. Therefore, the requirement is limited ONLY to the AUTHORIZED repair, maintenance, and monitoring of Landis and Staefa (Siemens) System 600 Building Control and Monitoring systems only. This is a Sources Sought announcement; a market survey for written information only. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests.
