II.4) SHORT DESCRIPTION OF NATURE AND SCOPE OF WORKS: Dorset County
Council is exploring the contract opportunities for the supply of Minor
works projects, repair and maintenance works, and soft facilities
management (FM) activities across the entire Dorset County Council
property portfolio.
Dorset County Council also works collaboratively with other Authorities
and other similar public organisations in the South West region and, as a
member of the Central Buying Consortium (CBC), works collaboratively with
other CBC members. The Council will allow, via prior agreement, such
authorities / public organisations.

II.8) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This notice is being submitted in order to
invite expressions of interest from organisations to participate in a
market consultation exercise. Dorset County Council would like to take
this opportunity to talk to interested organisations with regard to this
contract opportunity as part of the market consultation exercise. It is
anticipated the market consultation will take place on Wednesday 6
January, Thursday 7 January, Tuesday 12 January, Wednesday 13 January, and
Thursday 14 January 2010 at Dorset County Council, County Hall,
Dorchester, DT1 1XJ, UNITED KINGDOM, 18:00 - 21:00 hrs.
Organisations invited to the market consultation will not have any
advantage over organisations who do not participate in this process. It is
anticipated the contract notice relating to the contract will be submitted
for publication after the market consultation day, all organisations
should respond to this published contract notice, even if they have been
invited to attend the market consultation.
Aggregated value is estimated at 15 000 000 per annum ranging from 30 GBP
to 1 000 000 GBP.
