Provision of School Based Health Services (SBHS)

Request for Proposal Canterbury District Health Board
General Information For the implementation of SBHS for all year 9 students attending decile 1 and 2 secondary schools, alternative education facilities and teen parent units. SBHS are nursing services to be provided by registered nurses who are skilled in youth health and development.

The Canterbury DHB expectation is that the nursing services will be provided in conjunction with other primary and secondary services funded by the DHB.

They will be a source of referrals to other clinical services including medical, allied health, disability and specialist services.
