Under the authority of FAR Part 6, Subpart 6.302-1, FEMA intends to award a sole source purchase order to Control Resources Inc for the purchase of seven (7) TRIAX three s Antenna Controllers to replace existing controllers the agency has already purchased. These controllers are a subcomponent to a primary disaster communications satellite system that is proprietary equipment and must match center supporting hardware components.  The agency has evaluated the possibility of subcomponents or replace parts and has not found a substitute at this time.

This particular part is a subcomponent to a major assembly that was originally manufactured by Control Resources.  This particular system provides satellite telecommunications signal that reach back and is comprised of several other communication-electronic subcomponents that can only be matched up with certain proprietary replacement parts.

There are no other manufacturers or vendors where FEMA could acquire this particular part that must be matched identical to other subcomponents.

The estimated value of this PO is $34,115.
