INVITATION TO APPLY FOR ELIGIBILITY AND TO BID

The City Government of Lapu-Lapu, through its Bids and Awards Committee (BAC), invites contractors registered with and classified by the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB) to apply for eligibility and if found eligible, to bid for the hereunder contract:

Location : Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City

Brief Description : Scopes of work involve supply & installation of air
conditioning works, construction of playing court floor
system, supply/installation of professional basketball
equipment with accessories FILA approved, supply &
installation of seats, supply & installation of sound
system, supply & installation of telephone system, supply
& installation of finishes and miscellaneous works
Approved Budget for the
Contract (ABC) : Php90,000,000.00
Contract Duration : 150 Calendar Days

Prospective bidders should posses a valid PCAB License applicable to the contract, have completed a similar contract with a value of at least 50% of the ABC, and have key personnel and equipment (listed in the Eligibility Forms) available for the prosecution of the contract. The BAC will use non-discretionary pass/fail criteria in the Eligibility Check/Screening as well as the Preliminary Examination of Bids. The BAC will conduct post-qualification of the lowest calculated bid.

All particulars relative to Eligibility Statement and Screening, Bid Security, Performance Security, Pre-Bidding Conference, Evaluation of Bids, Post-Qualification and Award of Contract shall be governed by the pertinent provisions of R.A. 9184 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR).

The schedule of BAC activities is as follows:
Receipt from prospective bidders of Letter of Intent (LOI) including Application for Eligibility
November 20-26, 2009 @ 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
1. Pre-bid Conference & site inspection December 03, 2009 @ 10:00 a.m.
2. Receipt of Eligibility Requirements & Bids December 17, 2009 @ 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
3. Opening of Bids December 17, 2009 @ 2:00 p.m.
4. Post-qualification Evaluation Report December 22, 2009 @ 2:00 p.m.
5. Notice of Award December 23, 2009 @ 4:00 p.m.

The BAC will issue to prospective bidders Eligibility Forms and Bidding Documents at the BAC Secretariat, City Engineer's Office, upon their submission of a LOI, and upon their payments of a non-refundable amount of Php2,000.00 for the Eligibility Forms and Php20,000.00 for the Bidding Documents. All payments shall be made at the City Government of Lapu-Lapu Cashier at the City Treasurer's Office.

The City Government of Lapu-Lapu assumes no responsibility whatsoever to compensate or indemnify bidders for any expenses incurred in the preparation of their bids.
