this study is to help prepare the concepts and tools for, and a tentative
model on, farm climate change mitigation actions (including carbon
sequestration), so as to enable farmers to take actions at farm level to
reduce their emissions, and to enable policy makers to better design
policies to achieve the same objective. The aim is to better understand
the GHG profile of common farm practices in the EU, how changes to these
practices can improve the GHG profile, propose a tentative model for a
whole-farm assessment of GHG profile, and to understand the potential
synergies between different practices as well as the potential
environmental disadvantages such as damage to biodiversity, water, soil,
or landscape, etc.
