1. Madurai Municipal Corporation (hereinafter referred to as MMC or Owner) invites Bids for procurement of Jet Roding Machine, Sewer Cleaning Machine and Renovation of the existing Pumping station (Civil works, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation). 2. Madurai Municipal Corporation invites National Independent firms/Joint Ventures/Lead Partners of consortiums interested in the project to submit their bids. 3. Interested bidders can procure the Bid Document by payment of a non-refundable fee as outlined in Table below via Demand Draft drawn on an any Nationalized/ Scheduled Bank, in favour of “Commissioner, Madurai Municipal Corporation” payable at Madurai, from the Office of Chief Engineer, Madurai Municipal Corporation, Aringnar Anna Maaligai, Thallakulam, Madurai – 625 002, Tamil Nadu, India from 05.11.2009 to 08.12.2009 at the specified address on all working days between 10.00 HRS to 17.00 HRS. 4. Bid documents can also be obtained by Registered Post or Courier by sending requisition letter addressed to the Chief Engineer, Madurai Municipal Corporation, Aringnar Anna Maaligai, Thallakulam, Madurai – 625 002, TN, India enclosing demand draft of any Nationalized/ Scheduled Bank for the value of bid documents and an additional payment of Rs. 2,000/- at the risk and responsibility of the prospective bidder. 5. Interested bidders are requested to submit their bids, in a sealed envelope super-scribed as Providing Sewer Collection System in Uncovered area and Renovation of Existing Sewerage System – ‘Technical and Financial Proposals’ and should reach the Commissioner Office, First Floor, Aringnar Anna Maaligai, Thallakulam, Madurai – 625 002, Tamil Nadu, India on or before 09.12.2009 by 15.00 hours and Bid will be opened on the same day at 15.30 Hours in the presence of the Bidder who wish to attend. If the office happened to be closed on the date of receipt of bids as specified, the bids will be received and opened on the next working day at the same time and venue. 7. The Bidder shall furnish the Qualification criteria and relevant information in the prescribed format only. The bidder should mention the following details in the top of the Bid Cover.
