1. The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) intends to renew maintenance support for the following licensed software products for its Information System & Technology Department (ISTD) for which sealed bids are invited from bidders duly registered with relevant tax and other government authorities as required under the law:

Bidding will be conducted using the Negotiated Tendering procedures specified in the Public Procurement Rules 2004 (PPR 2004) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the PPR2004 that meet the following minimum qualification criteria: Bidders must be have an “Authorized Direct Partnership Status” for the required software and must be in possession of a valid Authorization Certificate from Symantec for the proposed product with a documented track of completing at least 3 - 5 similar assignments, during last 3 (three) years, of a comparable scale.
3. The Bidder should offer the latest version of the software products and be able to provide support and version upgrades of the supplied software product(s).
4. Bidder should provide Purchaser with login account with the principal to obtain updates, patches and support.
5. The Bid should strictly be in accordance with required version of that particular software.
6. The Bidders are requested to give their best and final prices as no negotiations are expected. The rates quoted must remain valid for a period of ninety days after opening of tenders.
7. All bids must accompany with a bid security of not less than 2% of the bid price. If items specified in technical specifications are quoted as options, the cost of same would be summed together to calculate the quoted price and bids would be rejected if the bid security does not cover the adjusted quoted rates. Late bids will be rejected.
8. Bid documents are available on receipt of written request from Authorized Symantec Partners only
9. Sealed Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before, December 04, 2009 at 15.30 hours. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 16.00 Hours same day at the Conference Room, 10th Floor, State Bank of Pakistan, I. I. Chundrigar Road, Karachi.
10. Incomplete Bid or Bid received without Bid Form / Bid Security will be rejected.
