ON-SITE PHYSIOTHERAPY SERVICES FOR CORRECTIONAL SERVICES CANADA
(CSC), NOVA INSTITUTION, TRURO, NOVA SCOTIA

To provide on-site physiotherapy for CSC, for the period from
contract award for a one year duration with the option to extend
the contract for 4 additional 12 month periods on an as and when
required. The Contractor will assess and treat offender clients
as referred by institutional physicians and/or institutional
health services staff, by conducting one (1) clinical session of
three (3) hours' duration bi-weekly in Nova Institution for
Women; providing assessments and initiating treatment for the
patient as referred by the physician; teaching the offender
physiotherapy exercises appropriate for her treatment needs;
providing a written report for the offender's file, outlining
the assessment and recommended interventions; being familiar
and proficient with the use of physiotherapy modalities;
providing appropriate treatment as per community standards;
ensuring all services be provided by the Physiotherapist at Nova
Institution, and all equipment needed to provide these services
will be provided by Correctional Service Canada onsite at Nova
Institution; etc. Clinics will be scheduled between he
contractor and CSC.

This PWGSC office provides procurement services to the public in
English.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
