Child Care Accreditation Services 2010-11

To assist families in choosing the best child care for their children and to promote excellence in child care settings, Alberta Children and Youth Services supports high quality child care through funding supports and the accreditation of child care programs. The Alberta Child Care Accreditation Program is a voluntary process that objectively assesses day care (DC), family day home (FDH) and out-of-school care (OSC) programs that meet the accreditation standards of excellence.
The objective of this RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified service providers to serve as the accreditation agency and the accreditation technical support services agency for child care programs for 2010-11, with the option to extend for up to two consecutive years. There are three disctinct opportunities (service bundles) in this RFP for which the Vendor may submit proposals:
- to complete a maximum of 70 DC/FDH accreditation site visits plus a maximum of 132 DC/FDH re-accreditation site visits;
- to complete a maximum of 125 OSC accreditation site visits; and
- to provide accreditation technical support services to at least 125 OSC programs.
Vendors may choose to bid on one, two or all three of these service bundles. They may also choose to develop a proposal to deliver a combination of bundles or to form collaborations with other Vendors to provide all services.
NOTE: Vendors must submit a separate Proposal for each individual opportunity.
