SECTION II.B: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT (SUPPLIES OR SERVICES)
II.1) TITLE ATTRIBUTED TO THE CONTRACT BY THE CONTRACTING AUTHORITY:
Sustainable catering supply chain solution.
II.2) TYPE OF CONTRACT AND PLACE OF DELIVERY OR OF PERFORMANCE: Services.

II.3) SHORT DESCRIPTION OF NATURE AND QUANTITY OR VALUE OF SUPPLIES OR
SERVICES: The Authority is looking for a contractor to be their first tier
supplier of catering provisions.
The contractor will be required to collate provisions from producers and
deliver provisions directly to the Authority as requested.
The contractor shall be expected to demonstrate the principles of the Food
Industry sustainability Strategy (FISS) within the proposed supply chain.
II.4) COMMON PROCUREMENT VOCABULARY (CPV): 39222000, 63120000, 63110000,
60112000.
II.7) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: If & when this requirement is offered to
tender, this may be done in whole/ in part via electronic means using the
Internet, & may also be through the medium of an electronic reverse
auction.
HPC is conducting this procurement exercise as a central purchasing body
for & on behalf of the NHS & other public sector bodies with whom the
successful offeror(s) will ultimately enter into contracts for the supply
of the goods and/or services. Any public sector body wishing to access the
contract may do so only with permission from HPC.
The contract conditions will be set out in the invitation to tender & it
is the contracting authority’s intention to include a certain contractual
provisions regarding a management charge, which may be applied to
purchases made under contract(s) awarded. Further details will be made
available via contract documentation and information released during the
course of the tender process.
Submission of expression of interest and procurement specific information.
This exercise will be conducted on the Healthcare Purchasing Consortium

considered must register their expression of interest & provide additional
