Wight Council invited tenders from a suitably qualified provider for
innovative services that provide breaks for young carers from their caring
role.
Providers would be appropriately qualified and experienced to provide
opportunities for young carers to take part in learning, leisure and other
positive activities enjoyed by their peers. We were particularly
interested in services that enable young carers to achieve the Every Child
Matters five outcomes and to use assessments of need, using the Common
Assessment Framework (CAF).
