II.1.4) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The Health
Services Executive invites tenders for proposals from suitably qualified
and experienced service providers to provide an information system for a
national Nursing Homes Support Scheme. It is the intention of the HSE to
procure a single national NHSS database which will be installed on a
central server in the HSE National Data Centre, to be operational by end
users in various locations throughout the country.
The Nursing Homes Support Scheme is to be operational from the end of
September 2009. Prospective tenderers must therefore be clear that the HSE
wishes to be operational with the selected system as close as possible to
this date. It is essential that tenderers are cognisant of this
requirement which is reflected in the Award Criteria.
