Note: Welding of 52 Kg (72 UTS)/52 Kg (90 UTS) Rails in situ or in the depot or at any locations decided by railway by using contractor’s own Mobile Flash Butt Welding Plant and SKV Portions on running/non-running lines or on cess of consolidated formation or on ballasted bed in the project area of New Mainaguri-Jogighopa New Line Project .

Sealed open tenders are invited from experienced and reputed contractor(s)/firm(s) for the following works: (1) TENDER NO.CE/CON/NMX-JPZ/Welding/2009/01 Name of work: Welding of 52 Kg (72 UTS)/52 Kg (90 UTS) Rails in situ or in the depot or at any locations decided by railway by using contractor’s own Mobile Flash Butt Welding Plant and SKV Portions on running/non-running lines or on cess of consolidated formation or on ballasted bed in the project area of New Mainaguri Jogighopa New Line Project, Approximate value Rs. 9,23,36,332/- Earnest money: Rs. 6,11,690/- Completion period: 30(Thirty )months Cost of Tender papers: Rs. 10,000/-. Note: Detailed information of work and conditions may be seen in the tender documents. 1. Eligibility Criteria will be as under: 1.1 The tenderer(s) should have physically completed minimum of 10700 nos. of Flash Butt welds using Mobile Flash Butt Welding Plant within qualifying period i.e. the last three financial year and current financial year (even though the work might have commenced before the qualifying period) in on or two completed/progressing works in Railways or any other Government/ Semi Govt. organization or PSU etc. Note: The total quantum of works completed during the qualifying period and not the payments received within qualifying period shall be considered. 1.2 Total Contract amount received during the last three years (i.e. current year and three previous financial years ) should be minimum of 150% of advertised tender value of work supported by (a) Authenticated payment record of N.F. Railway or any other Government Department or PSU’s etc. or (b) Audited Financial Statement certified by Chartered Accountant. Note for Clause 1.1 & 1.2 :Certificate from private individuals/firms for whom such works are executed/being executed shall not be considered 2. JOINT VENTURE will be permitted in this tender. 3. PARTNERSHIP FIRM: In case the tenderer is a partnership firm, the work experience, solvency and turn over shall be in the name of partnership firm only. 4. The tender documents (not transferable) can be obtained from the offices of the (i) General Manager/Con, N.F. Railway, Maligaon, Guwahati – 11, (ii) Dy. Chief Engineer/Con, N.F .Railway, AlipurduarJn. (iii) Dy. Chief Engineer/Con, N.F. Railway, Jogighopa & (iv) OSD/CON, N.F. Railway, 3, Koilaghata Street, 1st Floor, Kolkata-01 during office hours with effect from 14-12-2009 and up to 11.00 hours of 29-12-2009 on payment/submission of Crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of Financial Adviser & Chief Accounts Officer/Con, N.F. Railway, Maligaon. Outstation firms requiring tender document by post shall remit the sum as specified above plus Rs.500/- extra per tender as postal charges to reach the office of General Manager/Con, N.F. Railway, Maligaon, Guwahati - 781 011 latest by 29-12-2009. Railway will not be responsible for any delay, damage or loss of tender documents in transit 5. Tenders will be received by the offices mentioned against Note 4 above with effect from 14-12-2009 and upto 14.30 hours of 29-12-2009 and will be opened on 01-01-2010 at 10.00 hours at the office of General Manager/Con, N.F. Railway, Maligaon, Guwahati –781 011. If the last date of receiving/opening happens to be Bundh/Holiday(s), the tenders will be issued/received/opened on the following working day as per same timings 6 (a) The tender documents will also be available in Northeast Frontier Railway construction website in www.nfrly construction.org during the above mentioned period and same can be down loaded and used as tender documents for submitting the offer. However, the Demand Draft for the amount equivalent to the cost of tender documents as mentioned above will have to be enclosed while submitting the tender. Otherwise, the tender will be summarily rejected. Railway Administration will not be responsible for any delay / difficulties / inaccessibility of the down loading facility for any reason whatsoever. In case of any discrepancy between the tender documents down loaded from internet and the master copy available in the offices mentioned in 4 above, the latter shall prevail and will be binding on the tenderer(s). No claim on this account will be entertained. 7. Earnest Money shall have to be deposited by all tenderers. Tenders not accompanied by requisite Earnest Money shall be summarily rejected.
