RECOVERY TREASURY ACCOUNT SYMBOL INFORMATION IS AS FOLLOWS:TAS::14 1041::TAS This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS / SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) Q1320109015. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. FAR clauses and provisions enclosed within this RFQ are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-37 and are available in full text through Internet access at http://www.acqnet.gov/far. The National Park Service encourages the participation of small, disadvantaged and women owned business enterprises. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333414 and 423720 and the small business size standard is 500 and 100 employees respectively. QUOTES ARE DUE for this combined synopsis/solicitation on December 17, 2009 at 4:30 PM Mountain Daylight time and shall be delivered by the specified time to the National Park Service, Mammoth Supply Center, Bldg 34, Yellowstone National Park WY 82190, ATTN Contracting Office. Email or faxed quotes are preferred using this form with all required documentation, no oral quotations will be accepted. Quoters must furnish the company name, DUNS number, address, phone and fax number, email address if available, and official point of contact. All Quotes must be signed by authorized company official and faxed to 307-344-2079 or emailed to patty_oestreich@nps.gov. All quotes will be considered, however; to be considered for award, vendor must be registered in the Central Contracting Registration (CCR) , www.ccr.gov and we request that you put the Reps and Certs information online at the ORCA website, https://orca.bpn.gov/. Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area requires all components and supplies to install solar heat and hot water in their Resource Building. This procurement is for supplies only, installation will be done by Park Service maintenance employees. Quoted price must include delivery to Bighorn Canyon NRA, 20 Hwy 14A East, Lovell, WY 82431. RECOVERY THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS TO INCLUDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING THE ROOF AND MOUNTING BRACKETS FOR THE SOLAR PANELS PER QUESTIONS SENT IN. ALL OTHER ASPECTS OF THE SOLICITATION REMAIN THE SAME, INCLUDING THE CLOSING DATE OF DECEMBER 17, 2009, 4:30 PM MOUNTAIN TIME. QUESTIONCan you give me a description of the roof detail for the mounting hardware that will be needed for the solar collectors? Also will you require any fasteners to attach the brackets to the roof and if so what are the specifications? Is there a requirement for roof penetrating fasteners? As of now the RFQ only requires the panels and no mounting hardware. RESPONSEOur roof is a 4:12 pitch Wick Building metal roof. The attic is accessible through the rafters from inside the building. The trusses are 8' on center and the purlins are 2' on center. We will need all mounting hardware and fasteners and they must be rated to hold the maximum weight of the panels when full including 90 mph wind load. The mounting kit will need to be a 45 degree mounting kit for each panel (six total). QUESTION No mounting frame kits were specified, is this an omission ? Flexible hoses are available for interconnecting the collectors but, were not specified, omission? Item N calls for a Caleffi z-one actuator in the text but, the characteristics also include a valve body, is it a complete valve (actuator and body), there are also several types of Z-one, which is required? Item O, the Caleffi # 644350A in the specs does not seem to be correct, please advise. RESPONSESee response above for mounting frame kites. Flexible hoses are fine. We will need the complete valve with actuator and body. The specific specs (Salient Characteristics) were listed for the z-one actuator and must be followed. The actuator does not have to be a Caleffi but must be compatible with the system package. The number 644350A is for the diverter valve (O) not the actuator (N). The specs are correct. I did go to the site and typed in the number. If they have more questions they may want to contact Caleffi.
