This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Division Crane. The Government will increase the total quantity by 6/ea; from 13/ea to 19/ea with an option to procure an additional 6/ea of Link 11 Data Terminal Sets, MDM-2002, Modem, Ground. The Modems must meet form, fit, and function in accordance with Naval Tactical Data System (NTDS) interface requirements to support Link 11 tactical operations. This is a firm-fixed price contract. Shipment shall remain FOB Destination to NSWC Crane Division, Crane, Indiana 47522. This procurement is for a commercial item and FAR Part 12 procedures will be used. The applicable NAICS Classification is 334220 and the size standard is 750. The Navy holds this contract on a sole-source basis with Rockwell Collins of Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52498, based on FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), only one source capable of meeting the Government's requirements.
