RECOVERY PROJECT: Provide all labor, material, equipment, supplies, labor, and supervision to replace existing shingle roofing system at the Charcoal House. The project is located at the Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site, Elverson, PA. Work will include the removal of existing cedar shingle roofing system and installation of new roof consisting of 24 inch cedar hand split re-sawn shakes. Remove deteriorated roofing wood lath and install new to match existing. New valley flashing shall be lead coated copper. Contractors are encouraged to contact the park to schedule a walk-through prior to bidding the project. Construction Period 90 calendar days after NTP. NAICS code 238160. The small business size standard is $14.0 M. Solicitation with specifications, drawings, and wage rates will be posted to the websites to http://www.fedbizopps.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about 12/4/09. To receive the solicitation package you must download it from http://ideasec.nbc.gov.Contractors must register on the website in order to retrieve copies of the solicitation and any possible amendments. Instructions are contained on the website for downloading solicitation and attachments. It is the responsibility of all interested contractors to acknowledge ALL amendments to the solicitation. Bid Opening on or about 1/5/2010 20% Bid bond on Standard Form 24 is required. This procurement is being issued as UNRESTRICTED and is therefore subject to Federal Acquisition Regulation 52.219-4, Notice of Price Evaluation Preference for Hubzone Small Business Concerns. The estimated price range is between 100,000 and $250,000.
