P069183 PROCUREMENT OF PV SYSTEMS FORCLINICS IFB # FUNAE/01/2009 1. ThisInvitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in UN Development Business, issue no. 581, April 2002. 2. TheGovernment of Mozambique has received a grant from the Global Environmental Fund # GEF toward the cost of ERAP-Energy Reform and AccessProgram, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit proceeds topayments under the Contract for Procurement of PV Systems for Clinics in Gaza and Sofala Provinces. 3. TheFUNAE now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for supplying LOT 1 # Health Clinics in Gaza Province - and LOT 2# Health Clinics in Sofala Provinces that comprises Solar Photovoltaic Modules, Batteries, Charge controller, Inverters and DC andAC appliances. The delivery/installation period is 10 months. 4. Biddingwill be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits (May 2004, revised October 2006),and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines. 5. Qualifications requirements include: Experience as prime contractor in supplying such goods of at least 3 years and average AnnualTurnover of at least $1,500,000 per lot in the last 3 years and availability of cash flow or access to credit lines in an amount ofat least $300,000 per lot. A margin ofpreference for certain goods manufactured domestically shall not be applied. Additional details are provided in the BiddingDocuments. 7. Acomplete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application tothe address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee of MZM 2.500. The method ofpayment will be cash or check. The Bidding Documents may be sent by airmail for overseas, against the payment of therespective delivery expenses. 8. Bidsmust be delivered to the address below at or before 3:30 pm on 8 th January of 2010. Electronic bidding will notbe permitted. Late bids will be rejected.
