INVITATION TO APPLY FOR ELIGIBILITY AND TO BID

The Municipal Government of Bauan, through its Bids and Awards Committee (BAC), invites contractors registered with and classified by the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB) to apply for eligibility and if found eligible, to bid for the hereunder contracts:

NAME OF CONTRACT/LOCATION - Riprapping of shoreline damaged by typhoon at Barangay Sta. Maria, Bauan, Batangas
PROJECT REF. NO. - NP-2009-72
DESCRIPTION - Supply of materials labor and equipment
APPROVED BUDGET FOR THE CONTRACT - Php 526,059.00
SOURCE OF FUND - General Fund

Prospective bidders should possess a valid PCAB License applicable to the contract, have completed a similar contract with a value of at least 50% of the ABC, and have key personnel and equipment (listed in the Eligibility Forms) available for the prosecution of the contract. The BAC will use non-discretionary "pass/fail" criteria in the Eligibility Check/Screening as well as the Preliminary Examination of Bids. The BAC will conduct post qualification of the lowest calculated bid.

All particulars relative to Eligibility Statement and Screening, Bid Security, Performance Security, Evaluation of Bids, Post-qualification and Award of Contract shall be governed by the pertinent provisions of R.A. 9184 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR).

1. Receipt of LOI including Application for Eligibility November 25, 2009
2. Issuance of Eligibility Forms November 25, 2009
3. Receipt of Eligibility Requirements November 26, 2009
4. Notice of Results of Eligibility Check November 27, 2009
5. Issuance of Bid Documents December 01, 2009
6. Receipt and Opening of Bids December 09, 2009

The BAC will issue to prospective bidders eligibility forms at the BAC Secretariat Office, upon their submission of a LOI and upon their payment of a non-refundable amount of One Hundred Pesos (Php 100.00) to the Municipal Government Cashier.

Bid documents will be available only to prospective bidders upon payment of non-refundable amount to the Municipal Government Cashier.

The Municipal Government of Bauan assumes no responsibility whatsoever to compensate or indemnify bidders for any expenses incurred in the preparation of the bid.

The Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) of Bauan reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any defects or informalities therein and to accept such bid as maybe considered most advantageous to the Government.
