SECTION II.B: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT (SUPPLIES OR SERVICES)
II.1) TITLE ATTRIBUTED TO THE CONTRACT BY THE CONTRACTING AUTHORITY:
UK-Lincoln: event management services.
II.2) TYPE OF CONTRACT AND PLACE OF DELIVERY OR OF PERFORMANCE: Services.
Main place of performance or of delivery: The City of Lincoln Council wish
to explore options of delivering event management services in respect of
certain planned events including but not necessarily limited to the
Christmas Market, The 10K annual run, and various civic marches and a
range of other events during the term of the contract. Within this
provision service providers will be invited to express an interest in one
or more of the lots as specified. Management companies may also express an
interest to manage the package as a whole.
The City of Lincoln has placed this notice now in order to allow potential
interested parties to look around the Lincoln Christmas Market which is
held from Thursday 3rd December to Sunday 6th December 2009.
The Council may additionally hold an open day in order to engage with any
interested parties. The Council wishes to advertise a package of services
that is attractive to the market and would welcome suppliers views. Any
open day will be dependent on the level of interest, alternatively
communication will be undertaken on an individual basis.
Dependent on the outcome of the company engagement, the City of Lincoln
Council reserves the right to exclude some of the lots from this provision
and remove it from any future procurement exercise.

buildings. Street-cleaning and sweeping services. Floor-covering work.
The contract duration is expected to be an initial 3 year contract with an
option to extend by a further 2 years.
The contract value as stated below at II.3 represents the anticipated
total annual value of all lots detailed.
